With the goal of eliminating textile waste, I start with rescuing fabrics from fashion company offices and damaged garments via trusted partners which would have otherwise gone to landfill. I then slowly transform them into textile art pieces. By finding a use for all of my scraps in my zero-waste process, I'm capturing the value of the raw material and helping prevent more materials from ending up in our endlessly-growing landfills. Compared to the massive global textile waste problem, the amount of textiles I'm diverting from landfill is small, but I passionately strive to prove that artists can and should be a vital part of the circular economy where no materials are wasted.
